ABOUT THE CLASS:

We gather to move our bodies from a place of enquiry and curiosity.

Classes are a mix of Yoga Asana, Somatic Movement and Pranayama Breathwork, there may also be some Mantra and Mudra. 

With a Trauma Sensitive approach there will be options for different ways to move your body.

You will be encouraged to take up space and participate in a way that feels best for you.

The class is designed to be accessible from the floor, standing or seated, we provide chairs and all the props

Classes start with a grounding practice, gently warm up and intentional movement , breathwork (pranayama) throughout

finishing with mediation, savasana, supported rest

Class finishes at 6.50pm allowing time to pack up before the next class starts at 7pm


For those who:

  • Are curious about yogic asana beyond classic vinyasa class

  • Would like to move their body from a place of enquiry and curiosity

  • Interested in yogic breathwork (pranayama)

  • would like to find more spaciousness and ease in their body


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • An inclusive space, welcoming people of all genders, backgrounds, sexualities, caste and cultures

  • Trauma informed facilitation with gentle guidance while supporting your autonomy

  • Accessible to all bodies and all levels of experience

  • Small numbers to allow spaciousness and comfort


THE SPACE: STUDIO TAKE CARE

  • We are in the Big Room downstairs, accessible from the front via 4 steps, and wheelchair access via ramp at the back

  • We cover all the mirrors in the space to support us to feel the shapes, rather than how they look

  • Matts, Blankets, Blocks and Bolsters are provided, you can bring your own mat if you prefer

  • Chairs with a weight limit of 130kg are available, these can be used for part of the class, all off the class, or none.

  • Think Soft lighting, and cosy vibes

  • Lygon St Tram 1 and 6 stops are on the corner.

  • Jewell Train Station is the closest ad is 1.7km away

  • Parking is available on Pitt st, check signs as there is different time limits, additional parking on Loyola Ave and Evans St

  • We recommend allowing at least 15 minutes to park, as sometimes parking can be hard

  • There are fixed bicycle lock-up bars at the front of the building

  • The building is wheelchair accessible from the back with a ramp. Please let me know advance so this entrance ready for you

  • Bathrooms are Gender neutral

  • The closest ramp asses tram is Nicholson st, stop 21 on the 96 tram line, which is 950mt away and requires crossing 4 street, 3 of which have pedestrian lights

  • Pitt st has one accessible parking bay
